Components of computer system and its function

A computer system is a set of integrated devices that input, output, process, and store data and information. Computer systems are currently built around at least one digital processing device. There are five main hardware components in a computer system: Input, Processing, Storage, Output, and Communication devices.

A central processing unit (CPU), also called a central processor, main processor, or just processor is the electronic circuitry that executes instructions comprising a computer program. The CPU performs basic arithmetic, logic, controlling, and input/output (I/O) operations specified by the instructions in the

 program.

All kinds of computing devices such as tablets, PCs, or laptops feature a brain-like unit called the central processing unit or CPU. Your computer's CPU calculates and interprets instructions while you're surfing the web, creating documents, playing games, or running software programs.

=> Input device:-

In computing, an input device is a piece of equipment used to provide data and control signals to an information processing system such as a computer or information appliance. Examples of input devices include keyboards, mouse, scanners, cameras, joysticks, and microphones.

Getting Data from the User to the Computer. Some input data can go directly to the computer for processing. Input in this category includes bar codes, speech that enters the computer through a microphone, and data entered by means of a device that converts motions to the on-screen action.

Gets a line of input from the terminal. The INPUT command causes Runoff to get the next line of source text from the user's terminal, instead of from the Runoff source item.

=> Output device:-

The main output device of a computer. It forms images by converting electrical energy into light in the form of tiny dots on the screen called pixels.

An output device is any piece of computer hardware equipment that converts information into human-readable form. It can be text, graphics, tactile, audio, and video. Some of the output devices are Visual Display Units i.e. a Monitor, Printer graphic Output devices, Plotters, Speakers, etc. 

These all are the basic and important things of any computer, Without this input, output & Central Processing Unit computer cannot work.
