Hello
Today is an occupies occasion for Hindu, Sikh, Jain, and all others.
The occasion name is kartik Purnima.
It is celebrated on Purnima day or the fifteenth lunar day of Kartik. It is also known as Tripuri Purnima and Tripurari Purnima. It is sometimes called Deva-Diwali or Deva-Deepawali, the festival of lights of the gods.
Kartika (or Kartik) month or Kartik maas is considered to be the holiest month. This month is very dear to the devotees of Krishna because it is very dear to Lord Krishna. And whatever is dear to Krishna is dear to the devotees.
Even Most people use to wake up in the early morning (when the sun is not rising) and go to any river and any other pond to bath and swim a small boat with a small lamp on the boat, and leave on that pond of the river and use to ask for a wise.
The Kartik Purnima holds a distinct identity among holy days in Odisha. ... On this auspicious day, early in the morning people observe the ritual of Boita Bandana by floating tiny banana, paper, or thermocol boats in water bodies to remind past glory of Kalinga (Odisha).
According to Hindu mythology, the day of Kartik Purnima is religiously and spiritually significant. It is believed that worshipping Lord Vishnu and performing the Kartik Snan on this day, blesses the devotees with great fortune.
I hope this may give some information and interesting things about a festival.
